2012 Pentecost Consultation Night
We have a limited number of places left for His Eminence Cardinal Pell’s 2012 Pentecost Consultation Night to be held on Thursday March 1 at Southern Cross Vocational College in Burwood. The Cardinal is inviting young people between the ages of 16 and 35 years to have their say, as well as ask questions regarding this year’s topic: Sin and Forgiveness in a Q&A style forum.
The night will run from 6.00 – 9.30pm (registrations open at 5.45pm) and, as the venue capacity is strictly limited, the night is Invite Only. As a guest of this event, you will enjoy a complimentary two course meal and drinks. Each parish, group or movement in the Archdiocese of Sydney has been allocated four places so please contact your parish priest or group or movement leader if you would like to attend. Faith to the Extreme Camp
Planning your youth ministry calendar? Looking for somewhere to send your youth group or teenagers this April school holidays? Or are you in Years 7-10 and looking for an event that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE?! These holidays (Monday 16th April - Wednesday 18th April) there will be a combined Diocesan Youth Camp at Crosslands Youth & Convention Centre, Galston where you can take your faith to the Extreme! Extreme is all about encouraging young people in years 7 - 10 in their faith. The camp is hosted by Catholic Youth Services Sydney and Catholic Youth Parramatta and will include fun activities, multimedia, drama, music and testimonies! 40 Days for Life Kick-off Rally
40 days for life is a public campaign of peaceful prayer and fasting against abortion hosted by Family Life International (FLI). The kick-off rally will be held on 21st February at St Peter's Catholic Church, 235 Devonshire St, Surry Hills. There will be Mass at 6pm followed by a procession to Preterm abortuary with a Pancake Supper afterwards! On 22nd February, Ash Wednesday, 40 DAYS FOR LIFE BEGINS with daily prayer vigils outside Preterm abortuary from 6am-8pm (1 Randle St, Surry Hills). There will also be All Night Adoration for Life every Friday and Saturday from 6pm-6am at St Peter's! There are so many ways for you to get involved and make a peaceful, prayerful stand for Life! Heartworks Retreat

One Body in Christ - New Resources
The Australian Catholic Disability Council and the Disability Projects Office of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference have released today a new resource for parishes and Church communities called One Body in Christ, Welcoming People with Disability. This parish resource kit is beautifully designed and contains a number of excellent resources for those working with people with disability. It is useful for clergy, religious, pastoral councils, teachers, parishioners and anyone who has an interest in welcoming people with disability.
